A special Shiny Rayquaza with Dragon as its Tera Type is arriving next month in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Arriving ahead of the shiny legendary Pokémon is an outbreak of black Shiny Pokémon. Shiny Rayquaza Tera Raid Battle Event Dates: December 19, 2024 – January 5, 2025
The Shiny Rayquaza Tera Raid Battle will be available to challenge from Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 4:00 PM PT / 7:00 PM ET to Sunday, January 5, 2025, at 3:59 PM PT / 6:59 PM ET. This exclusive Pokémon event will allow Pokémon trainers an opportunity to capture a Shiny Rayquaza with Dragon Tera Type, along with other exclusive rewards.
Black Shiny Pokémon coming ahead; Three-Part Tera Raid Preparation Series
In anticipation of the arrival of the black-colored Rayquaza, players can also anticipate more battles with Black Shiny Pokémon. Fraxure, Carbink, and Cetoddle will all appear in higher numbers during this event period, and there’s a higher chance that they’ll appear Shiny. If ever there’s a perfect time to shiny hunt, this is it!
There will also be a series of Tera Raid Preparation Battles featuring Corviknight, Bellibolt, Azumarill, Clodsire, Annihilape, and Kingambit. These Tera Raid Battles will help players capture Pokémon that will help them prepare against their fight with Rayquaza. These raid battles will have the following schedules:
- Part 1: Corviknight & Bellibolt (Thursday, November 28, 2024, at 4:00 PM PT / 7:00 PM ET to Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 3:59 PM PT / 6:59 PM ET)
- Part 2: Azumarill & Clodsire (Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 4:00 PM PT / 7:00 PM ET to Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 3:59 PM PT / 6:59 PM ET)
- Part 3: Annihilape & Kingambit (Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 4:00 PM PT / 7:00 PM ET to Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 3:59 PM PT / 6:59 PM ET).
