Hearts of Iron IV’s third country pack “Graveyard of Empires” expands gameplay with new unique paths for Afghanistan, India, Iran, and Iraq.
The new DLC will also allow players to restore the Persian and Mughal Empires if they so wish, restoring the glory of old empires in what history remembers as the “Graveyard of Empires,” reversing the history of Afghanistan once and for all. Of course, players can still build their own empires through any nation they choose to play as, like an independent India or a more prominent Iraq, giving players a lot of flexibility on how they want to shape history in this strategic war simulation game.
Complementing the game’s new content are new unique leader portraits, infantry models, and unit visuals, enhancing immersion for these new nations.
Key features include:
- Expanded National Focus Trees: Unique paths for Afghanistan, India, Iran, and Iraq, including historical and alternate history options.
- Revived Empires and Independence Movements: Players can restore the Persian and Mughal Empires, establish an independent India, or reshape Iraq’s role in the war.
- Strategic Warfare and Diplomacy: Manage internal factions, navigate foreign influence, and leverage regional resources for military and economic advantage.
- New Art and Models: More leader portraits, infantry models, and unit visuals enhance immersion.
Players can purchase Graveyard of Empires as a stand-alone DLC for $14.99 or as part of the Expansion Pass I that was released back in October 2024. Expansion Pass I also includes the Supporter Pack Bonus Content, the German-focused DLC Götterdämmerung, and the future DLC Prototype Vehicles.
