The Assassin’s Creed franchise, as a work of historical fiction, has blended real-life occurrences with creative fabrications. However, one thing from the series that we can know for sure could have been possible, among the many blemishes the series has made on historical events, is the act of leaping into a haystack and living to tell the tale. Thanks to Red Bull Gaming and a couple of daredevils, we again prove that the Leap of Faith is completely possible.

A stunt not many people are willing to replicate – unless it’s in a video game.

To promote the upcoming release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows (March 20, 2025), Red Bull Gaming took world-class Parkour athletes Dom Di Tommaso, Noa Diorgina Man, Pasha Petkuns, and Shimada Zen to recreate iconic stunts from the Assassin’s Creed franchise on the rooftops of Japan’s Ninja Kingdom Ise. From the video above, you can just see how fearless these athletes performed these stunts. That we’re in awe of their skill and courage would be an understatement.

As mentioned, the stunts were performed at the Ninja Kingdom Ise theme park, so at least they were performing the stunts in a controlled environment, as opposed to while being chased by guards after a deftly executed assassination.

While the Leap of Faith is Assassin’s Creed’s most iconic stunt, the athletes also performed others through challenges – the Rooftop Gap, Rooftop Slide, Grapple Challenge, and the Parkour Escape – showing to everyone that if you’re trained appropriately, anyone can do what the assassins in video games do. I mean the parkour part, of course.

After multiple delays, Ubisoft will finally release Assassin’s Creed Shadows this coming Thursday on PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox Series X/S, macOS, and iPadOS.
