Avatar: The Last Airbender Magic the Gathering

MagicCon Chicago just bore witness to Magic the Gathering’s latest reveal: Avatar: The Last Airbender is coming to Universes Beyond.

Just as Nickelodeon announced Avatar: Seven Havens, a new show in the Avatar: The Last Airbender universe set after Korra’s time, Wizards of the Coast unveiled at the Lakeside Center an upcoming set for Universes Beyond.

However, it’s not yet clear if the new Avatar set will feature Aang, Korra, the new series, or just like Final Fantasy, a mix of all. Regardless, fans will likely embrace this new set, which will be part of Magic’s Standard Rotation.

There are no revealed cards yet, although we can expect them to arrive around June or July, by the time the Final Fantasy set has been released.

Preview season for the next Magic: the Gathering set, is also underway, with new cards for the set being revealed during MagicCon Chicago. This next set will be coming in April, featuring the Clans of Tarkir, as well as the return of Ugin, and the former planeswalker Sarkhan.
