Remember Gex? The anthropomorphic gecko that you may have grown up with if you’re around the same age as the author of this article? Well, Gex is coming back, thanks to Limited Run Games, as the Gex Trilogy pack will be coming to both PC and consoles this summer.
Gex rose in popularity as a niche PSOne game, but it was also released on 3DO, on PC, and on the Sega Saturn. Later releases would also appear on the Game Boy Color and the Nintendo 64.
If you never had the chance to play the games, or if you’re a fan and want to relive the glory days of action platforming, then you’re in luck. Gex, Gex: Enter the Gecko, and Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko will be re-released as the Gex Trilogy later this year, brought to us by the Carbon Engine with remastered graphics, improved controls, updated visuals, trophy and achievement support, and quality-of-life improvements like rewind and save state options.
Gex Trilogy will be launching for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch, starting from the Summer of 2025.
