Crunchyroll announced the Crunchyroll Anime Nights last June 26 at the San Diego Comic-Con. This is a new program “designed to honor the past, elevate the present, and celebrate the future” of anime.
Every third Monday of the month, anime fans will be treated to a theatrical experiences that honors the connection between the show and its audience. Theaters across the U.S. will showcase various fan-favorite anime films, curated episodes, timeless classics, and even previews of upcoming series.
Crunchyroll Anime Nights will begin in October 2025 and will involve over 200 theaters across the United States. Participating theater chains include the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, AMC Theatres, Regal, Cinemark Theatres, Harkins Theatres, and Landmark Cinemas.

The anime streaming service announced the first two titles on the slate.
On October 20, the film Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: A lonely dragon wants to be loved will be shown. This is the sequel to the second season of the anime, so you still have a lot of time to catch up should you wish to do so.
The next Anime Night will be OVERLORD: A Celebration of the Anime’s 10th Anniversary. This is a showing of the first seven episodes of season one; the beginning of Momonga’s journey as he gets trapped inside his beloved MMORPG and is forced to interact with the game’s world and NPCs after the servers shut down. Fans will witness his rise to becoming the Sorcerer King Ains Ooal Gown.
December 17 will feature an exclusive first look at some of the newest series before they hit Crunchyroll.
